It snowed here on Friday…and by Sunday it was 70 degrees and I ran in shorts and a tank! I love Colorado! I am increasing the distance of my long run each week, and my pace is slowing a bit as a result. Still felt pretty good, but I’d like to be able to push my distance with out losing steam the last 1.5.

Went long the day after a speed workout. Not sure that was a good idea. I felt slugish and slow and had to fight to maintain distance goals. I survived anyway.

This is the first long run that I have been able to hold a sub 12 pace! Maybe there is something to those intervals!

A friend of mine just qualified for Boston…and she had this great idea that I should do some speed work with her. What was I thinking? We did intervals of 800m with 400m recovery–at a sub 4:45. By the third set, I was done! My goal is to add a set each week until my race. We’ll see if it improves my times!

I wanted to put in an extra run this week in effort to increase my total weekly mileage…My body said, “What the!” I was still a bit sore from Sunday’s run and my legs felt like lead. The whole run felt labored…but I was out there!
We are losing day light here pretty quickly and I am not yet ready to start putting miles on the hamster wheel (tready). Any suggestions for a light sourse that’s easy enough to mange on a run??

Beautiful day, so I pressed my long run a bit. I’m still not where I would like to be in distance or total mileage for the week. I am going to have to find time to do a mid-distance run during the week…

Last week I was hiking in 70 degree weather. This week I did 4 mi in 35 degress and snow….Fall in the Rockies! Nothing better.
